iPad Learning Summit

"Moving from consumption to curation and creation"

The iPad Learning Summit in 2016 was hosted by Maynooth University in association with Technology Made Easy. The theme of the summit was ‘moving from consumption to curation and creation’, a theme that supported educators who were seeking to enhance their own practice and the work of their students by adopting more active and creative approaches to teaching and learning. The summit attracted teachers, ICT coordinators and school leaders from across Ireland, who were either already implementing iPad or considering implementing iPad in their classrooms.

The agenda contained a range of workshops and featured sessions, allowing attendees to create a personalised timetable to match their interests, ambitions and ability.

Workshops included managing information and thinking, content creation and assessment for learning. Featured sessions, which followed curricular or issue-based themes, included English, Science and Reaching all Learners.

The Workshops really me think how to help students organise thinking and sharing work. Really useful workshop!

Very good, good pace, allowing time to try everything out, can't wait to get organising all my own material in one drive! Will make more use of mind maps having had the opportunity to explore them.
